YARDLEY, PA, September 1, 2026 – PatientSight, a primary research company focused on rare and complex diseases, announces the launch of the Patient Experience Benchmark Report.

PatientSight helps life science organizations understand how people living with serious diseases experience their conditions, treatments and interactions with the healthcare system. The Patient Experience Benchmark Report (PEBR) is a logical extension of that mission. It transforms patient insights into a structured, quantitative framework that companies can use to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Life science companies already conduct extensive patient research, but findings are usually generated for a specific project or business function. As a result, organizations may understand individual aspects of the patient journey without having a consistent way to answer broader questions: What does a good patient experience look like? Where are the most important gaps? How does one segment compare with another?

“Having worked with hundreds of companies in the rare disease space, I’ve learned how much they value understanding the patient experience. But it has been difficult for them to know how the experience compares across patient groups. The Patient Experience Benchmark Report finally provides a much-needed holistic and consistent way to assess patient experience." — Wes Michael, President- Rare Patient Voice, a Konovo company.

The framework builds upon existing journey maps and qualitative research by translating important healthcare milestones into standardized patient-reported measures. This allows organizations to supplement qualitative work with key performance indicators about patient experience.

“Understanding the patient experience in your disease category has always been critical but knowing how well you are doing compared to others is a whole new level of insight. The most successful brands go deepest on the patient journey and build strategies that truly meet those needs. Patient experience benchmarking now gives us a way to measure how effectively brands are actually delivering against their category and even their own company, introducing an entirely new level of credibility to what it means to truly put the patient first.” — Kirsten York- President, ENTRADA- A Patient Experience Organization.

The PEBR can be a custom study or syndicated report for a particular therapeutic area and should be repeated over time to detect changes and evaluate progress in patient experience. The findings can help life science teams prioritize actions and evaluate whether patient-focused initiatives are working. The report also provides context for individual metrics that may otherwise be difficult to interpret in isolation.

The Patient Experience Benchmark Report is available either as an executive PowerPoint deck or interactive platform that supports deeper exploration of the findings, including AI-enabled querying.

Dave Muggler of PatientSight and Kirsten York of Entrada will explore the patient experience benchmarking framework in an educational workshop at Fierce Pharma Week in Philadelphia on September 14th.
